I Found My Wings

I spread my wings and I learnt how to fly. It's not easy but it's getting easier by the day and it's life changing. I hope you will choose to join me on this new journey.

Women of the Bible: Bathsheba

Our world needs more safe spaces. We need to address behaviors and cultures that are corrupted. The people who prey on the vulnerable and abuse their power ought to be called out! When one dares to speak out, we need to come together and amplify their voice. #SafeSpaces #UpliftASister

Anomaly

Courageous conversations are quite scarce. The intensity and intricacy of matters that need to be addressed usually makes it seem better to not challenge any pre-existing perceptions.

The version of Bathsheba’s story that I grew up knowing doesn’t have trauma and misfortunes. At least when they mention the ugly parts, it never sounds half as bad. I get that we need positivity and hope, but sometimes it’s done at the cost of essential knowledge.

Bathsheba is often celebrated as Queen and the mother of King Solomon. What we barely talk about are the storms she weathered as King David’s wife. I guess this is because it’s uncommon for women to share their stories. It is thrilling now that more women are changing the trajectory of the world where speaking up is concerned.

There is a culture of abuse that is often overlooked. We see it in Bathsheba’s story. A culture…

I Love Girl Party’s

Because It’s Women’s Month and this message will never get old.

I believe I can fly

I love girl parties because they remind women how much power
they each have. But I hate it that when they end, it seems like the unions are
temporarily dissolved. We even stop speaking to each other.

Don’t you think that…

While this plea was directed to our elders and those in authority on this earth I know only God can help. It is to him we should cry. Our motherland needs minana and our God is a miracle worker!

The Truth About Love

I believe I can fly

I am in the 1st week of my 3rd month as a married woman. #Milestones

Some of you are already thinking todadigwa zvino (bragging). On the contrary I am just truly thankful for the trials I have already faced. For he said;

Count it all joy

James 1:2

While I was reflecting on the journey leading to today, one poem written during our honeymoon phase came to mind. It is an account of how it felt like to fall in love, to discover the the beauty of it. I remember just wanting every disheartened soul to take a peek into my heart and be hopeful again.

Today the poem is speaking to my wary heart. It is reminding me of the treasure I found just a year and some ago. It is motivation to be trustful. You see, too many people have been giving their opinions, their welcome and…
